Microsoft Azure left menu contains Create a resource, Home, Dashboard, All services and your favorite services. Home or Dashboard will be the default views when you login to Azure Portal.

By default when you login to Azure portal for first time, Home will be the default view. If you want to change to Dashboard view, Click on Portal Settings > Choose your default view > Select Dashboard. Change of your selection is automatically applied on Azure Portal.

Azure Home
Azure Home is the default view which is provided by Azure Portal site. This view can not be customized of your choice. It contains
- Azure Services - Quickly navigate to azure service or create a resource
- Recent resources - Typically your last updated/viewed azure resources
- Navigate - To quickly go to your subscriptions, Resource Groups, all resources or Dashboard
- Tools - Microsoft Learn, Azure Monitor, Security Center and cost management

Azure Dashboards
You can create your own dashboard views from the tiles gallery. This is customized view of your choice.
